Overview of SYTECH's Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development in 2017

In the past year, SYTECH has always regarded environmental protection and sustainable development as an important part of the company's sustainable development strategy and have paid great attention to fulfill its environmental protection duties.

In order to implement the environmental management policy (establish environmental protection concept in all employees, effectively utilize energy resources, and continuously improve environmental conditions), the company has taken the following measures in the past year:

First, through various training and activities, we improved the environmental awareness of all employees in the company. We take measures to save resources in every activity, by saving each piece of paper, every drop of water and every degree of electricity, so as to implement environmental protection concepts into daily work.

Second, we introduce and research and develop the latest energy-saving transformation technology, such as the automatic and rational allocation technology of the cold water station, the reconstruction of the freezer and the normal temperature warehouse, the reformation of the secondary catalytic combustion of the incinerator. The development of new technologies enables us to save fuel, gas, electricity and to carry out environmental protection. Since 2006, the company has continuously invested in energy conservation and environmental protection. In 2017, the company invested a total of 7.65 million RMB in energy conservation and environmental protection, which brought rich energy-saving results to the company.

Third, in 2016, the company carried out energy-saving self-examination. In 2016, the comprehensive energy saving reached 188.99 tons of standard coal (the government has not organized the review so far). In 2016, the comprehensive energy consumption of our company's output value was 0.0473 tons of standard coal per 10,000 RMB, which is far lower than the requirement of 1.20 tons of standard coal per 10,000 RMB for the electronics industry and 0.159 tons of standard coal per 10,000 RMB for the CCL industry. At the same time, it reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 491.374 tons, making a significant contribution to environmental protection and energy conservation.

Fourth, for investment projects, the company continues to implement the environmental protection one-vote veto mechanism, implement the “three simultaneous” system (facilities for pollution prevention and control and other public hazards in the construction project and comprehensive utilization facilities must be designed, constructed and put into construction simultaneously with the main project) on all new projects, and meet requirements of environmental protection laws and regulations. The project feasibility study fully considers environmental protection design and investment, and the project must pass environmental protection acceptance.

Fifth, the company implements the ISO14000 environmental management system, publicizes and implements the company's environmental protection guidelines and policies, and improves the environmental awareness of all employees and the environmental performance of the company. In June 2017, it successfully passed the upgrade and revision audit of the environmental management system of the third-party certification company DNV, and continuously improved the operation of the company's environmental management system.

Sixth, the company strengthened the comprehensive utilization of resources and the construction of circular economy, for example, by optimizing the process technology to reduce the consumption of various materials, and recycling and classifying various types of waste generated on site to realize recycling of waste materials. At the same time, the company introduces advanced equipment technology, incinerates or recycles solvent volatile, and recycles heat for production, which not only reduces exhaust emissions, but also saves production energy.

The company has completed the environmental assessment of the seventh phase of Songshan Lake plant construction project, the third phase (Engineering Technology Center) expansion project, the second expansion project of the Songshan Lake Plant Number One (FCCL Research & Development Center), the National Engineering Research Center of Electronic Circuits Base Materials, and the third expansion project (the first phase) of the fourth phase (FCCL Research & Development Center), during which we strictly implemented the “three simultaneous” system. In addition, we actively research and design deodorization technology, carry out in-depth treatment of incinerator exhaust, install deodorization equipment in the incinerator exhaustion vent of each plant, and adopt the Japanese imported pure biological enzyme, catalytic combustion and other technologies, achieving obvious effects. All indicators meet national emission standards which results in reducing the sense of discomfort in the human body.

In 2017, sampling and monitoring at the exhaust vent of all relevant departments met the requirements of Guangdong Province Air Pollutant Emission Limits.
